The Call List is a directory of all attorneys ever called to the Bar of The Bahamas, according to their year of call. You can use the Call List to search for a lawyer and to verify whether or not they are in good standing with the Bar.
Membership in the Bahamas Bar Association is mandatory for attorneys practicing law in The Bahamas. However, admittance is limited to Bahamian citizens. Attorneys of other nationalities can become registered associates.
Need a place to meet a client, review research or have a sensitive conversation? Active members of the Bahamas Bar Association can book the conference room at a rate of $450 per day. This includes coffee, tea, tables and chairs. You can also book the library for free.
Attorneys in The Bahamas have to abide by the Code of Professional Conduct established by the Legal Profession Act. If you feel you have been wronged by your attorney you can lodge a complaint with the Ethics Committee, which is made up of five senior members of the Bar.

Members are now able to submit for a renewal or new ID card via the Bar’s new online ID card request portal.
