Kahlil D. Parker KC

President

Kahlil D. Parker KC practices law as a Partner in the firm of Cedric L. Parker & Co. Mr. Parker is an accomplished litigator and appellate lawyer before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and Privy Council. Mr. Parker is a Bar Leader with a demonstrated commitment to the Rule of Law, the continuous improvement of the legal profession, legal aid, and positive law reform.

President of The Bahamas Bar Association (2017-2019), (2019-2021), and (2021-2023), Mr. Parker also serves as member of the Fiscal Responsibility Council of The Bahamas, a member of The Rehabilitation of Offenders Committee, and a Director and Executive Committee Member of The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation. Mr. Parker has also served as a Lecturer at the University of The Bahamas in Legal Research and Legal Writing.

Mr. Parker is a Rotarian of the Rotary Club of East Nassau and a Trustee of The Queen’s College Foundation.

Jacy Whittaker

 Vice President

Jacy got his start in 2000, working as a legal assistant for Frederick R.M. Smith, QC, a legendary attorney in the Bahamas. Mr. Smith had been intrigued by a brand of intelligence that has since served Jacy well in the courtroom. Even then, a talent analysis showed Jacy’s strengths as a future litigator.

Jacy enrolled in law school (University of Buckingham, 2001 and later Inns of Court School of Law, 2005), then joined Callenders & Co., where he worked side-by-side with Mr. Smith on multiple matters—including one of the Bahamas’ most monumental matters. Six years later, he and partner Arthur K. Parris, Jr left to form ParrisWhittaker. Jacy has since added admiralty law, probate law, commercial transactions, corporate structuring, restructuring, and formation to his list of capabilities, He acts as local counsel for a handful of Fortune 500 companies and numerous international companies.

In addition to his legal practice, Jacy is one of the most active members of the Grand Bahama business community. He is/was a director, advisor, or committee chair for numerous boards, including the Bahamas Bar Council, Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, Freeport Law Society, and Salvation Army. He is also a member of the Bahamas Bar Association and a member of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court Bar.

Dawson Malone

3 YEAR COUNCIL MEMBER

R. Dawson Malone is a dedicated attorney committed to protecting individual rights in
private, political, and corporate matters. Admitted to the Bahamas Bar in 2011, he
quickly gained recognition for his legal expertise and relentless work ethic. In 2022, he
became the Managing Partner of Callenders’ Nassau office.

Mr. Malone has extensive courtroom experience and has served in various judicial
capacities, including Acting Assistant Registrar of the Supreme Court. He is actively
involved in legal education, organizing seminars for the Bahamas Bar Association’s
Junior Bar Committee and lecturing at the Eugene Dupuch Law School and the
University of The Bahamas.

Born in Nassau and raised in Abaco, Mr. Malone graduated with distinction from The
College of The Bahamas, earned his LLB with First Class Honours, and was
valedictorian at Eugene Dupuch Law School, where he received a Legal Education
Certificate of Merit.

Wence M.J. Martin

1 year Council Member 

Mr. Wence Martin was admitted to the Bahamas Bar in 2007. The early years of his legal career inclusive of pupillage were spent with a leading boutique law firm where his law practice was predominately geared towards civil litigation, commercial, corporate and securities law as well as property title and labour disputes. He is currently employed as a senior manager with multinational company in the financial services industry.

As a corporate lawyer, Wence provides advice on constitutional, legal and regulatory matters. In terms of community service, Wence leads a men’s mentoring group, and assists numerous charitable and not for profit organizations this includes Bahamas Faith Ministries Legal Aid Clinics as well as other community legal aid initiatives. He and his wife Donaliquea are members of Jubilee Christian Ministries Int’l.

Wence received an Associate’s in Business/Economics from the College of The Bahamas. He has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London, a Certificate of Legal Education from Eugene Dupuch Law School, and a Master of Laws from Oxford Brookes University. He holds numerous certificates in AML-Compliance, International Taxation, International Trust Management, and International Relations/Diplomacy.

Glenda Roker

1 year Council Member

Glenda Roker is currently a 1 Year Council Member having been duly elected to serve for the 2021-2022 term. Glenda read the law at the University of Buckingham, Buckingham, United Kingdom and obtained a LLB with a minor in Politics in 2011. Glenda completed her vocational training at the Eugene Dupuch Law School and obtained a Legal Education Certificate in 2013. Glenda was called to the Bahamas Bar on 1st November, 2013. Upon admission to The Bahamas Bar, Glenda has sought to be an active member of the Association and has always been ready willing and able to assist when called upon. Glenda has also served as a member and officer of several civic organizations and as a member of a statutory board. An adherent advocate, Glenda is also is a supporter of various charitable organizations and a proponent for young persons, women’s and children rights the indigent and persons with disabilities.

Krysta M. Moxey

1 year Council Member 

Krysta Moné Moxey attended the College of The Bahamas (now known as the University of The Bahamas) where she initially pursued an education in the field of Culinary Arts. Thereafter she received accreditation from Johnson & Wales University and certification from the American Culinary Federation before delving into her first passion, law.

She then attained her LLB (Hons) with the University of West Indies in 2012 before studying for her Certificate of Legal Education with the Eugene Dupuch Law School. Krysta Moné was called to the Bahamas Bar in 2014. She also holds International Diplomas in Anti-Money Laundering and Governance, Risk and Compliance. She is well versed in a variety of practice areas including banking and finance, corporate and commercial litigation, civil litigation and disputes as well as trust/private client litigation.

To maintain her work life balance, she always makes time to socialize with her family and friends over a good meal. As a part of giving back to the community, she actively spearheads food drives for the less fortunate.
